A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas

lighthearted medium-paced

What a strange book. Like it’s both a Christm— I mean Solstice— filler “episode” and also a clunky set up for the next installment. Sure, there were some cute moments, but it was so overly obvious in what it was attempting to do it mostly felt amateurish. And the metaphors for hope and grief were just so heavy handed it made me groan, almost as much as the incredibly silly mind-fuck scene made me want to end it then and there.
