Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ahhh I`m going to miss this book! I was desperate for any Shadowhunter content after reading Chain of Gold, and this book prevented me from getting into a reading slump.
I`m just going to do a list over everything I loved from these short stories in no particular order:

1. Will, Jem and Tessa:
Finally, I needed to cry over Will for no reason, its been a while since last time! Yes, I cried over Will multiple times while reading the scenes featuring him, what about it? My heart warmed when Jem talked about Will too.

2. James and Matthew:
They were so cuuute, I need Chain of Iron ASAP! The way Matthew wanted to get James's attention and everything... I loved.

3. Simon:
I actually didn't really care much for Simon while reading The Mortal Instruments series, he was annoying and in the background. However, this book changed my perspective on his character drastically. He stood up for what he believed in, defended Downworlder´s rights and was just so kind and... quite clumsy. I respect him more now than I ever did before.
Although, the memory loss trope is just meh.

4. Arthur, Andrew and Lady Nerissa:
I really enjoyed reading about Arthur and Andrew´s backstory. It explained a lot about Arthur´s demeanour in The Dark Artifices series, which I questioned while reading the books.
I loved getting Lady Nerissa´s side of the story as well, learning of how she loved with her heart so fiercely.

5. Mark:
Ugh, I missed Mark so much, he is so sweet and caring. He talked about his siblings and it made me realize just how much he loved them.

6. Emma and Julian:
When reading the Dark Artifices I really wanted to read about their parabati ceremony, and I did get to do that in this book!

7. George:
George was such a a loyal friend to Simon, and I think that his ending was completely unnecessary. Though I did love Jessamine´s appearance with George to say a final goodbye. I almost cried when Simon chose Lovelace as his last name, just perfect.
