Get a Room
by Casey Dembowski
This book was such a fun and delightful read! I’ve always been a fan of the best friend’s brother trope, and this story delivered it in such a fresh and engaging way. The dynamic between the characters was playful, heartfelt, and full of tension in all the right places, which kept me invested from start to finish.
What really made this book stand out, though, was how many beloved tropes were seamlessly woven into the plot. There’s the “one bed” scenario (but with a twist you won’t see coming), fake dating to save face, a dash of “let’s make the ex jealous,” and plenty of moments that had me smiling, laughing, and rooting for the characters. Instead of feeling overdone, these tropes blended together perfectly, making the story feel cozy yet exciting.
The pacing was spot on, and I appreciated that the humor was balanced with heartfelt and emotional moments, giving the romance real depth. The chemistry between the main characters was undeniable, and I loved how their relationship developed naturally, with just the right amount of tension and sweetness.
Overall, this was exactly the kind of book I needed: lighthearted, charming, and full of tropey goodness. If you enjoy fun rom-coms with a mix of humor, heart, and classic romance setups done well, this is definitely one to add to your TBR list.
