Caleb's Crossing by Geraldine Brooks

4.0

Really liked this book. It is another book that makes me thankful I live today. I was a bit frustrated by how it was marketed. I thought the book was about the FIRST native American to graduate from Harvard in the late 1600's, but it was really about a young girl, Bethia, struggling with her intelligent in a very restrictive society and time. This did parallel Caleb's experience, but the bulk of the book was from the Bethia's point of view.
