Ship of Magic
by Robin Hobb
Pirates, serpents, liveships, family drama — this book has everything I love, and Hobb delivers it with her usual brilliance. The world feels alive, the themes cut deep, but it’s the characters that truly steal the show. Flawed, messy, infuriating, unforgettable — you feel everything with them.
It’s dark, gut-wrenching, and at times infuriating, but also completely unputdownable. On reread, I loved it even more — the subtle groundwork and layers stand out, making it an even richer, more devastating experience.
Dark, emotional, brilliant.
Remains one of my faves ever!!
