I can not shut up about how much I love this book!
Iris is living a rough life. Her brothers left her to go off to war, and in response, her mother turned to alchoholism to coup, leaving her to keep her life together. She gets a job at a newspaper gazette in hopes of getting the job of a columnist. But she has a bit of a problem, Roman Kitt, who also wants the job title of columnist.
While these two battle who the job position, Iris's world seems to be crashing down around her, and, if she was being honest with herself, she kind of liked Roman's company though he was a nuisance she didn't know if she could handle on top of everything else.

This book has my heart. It's everything I could want in a romantasy, witty banter, rivals to lovers/enemies to lover, cheesy love letters, action, grief, tragedy, and everything that makes a story what it should be.
I can't rant about this book enough, but that ending!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!
I can't wait to jump straight into Ruhtless Vows, Rebecca Roth is such a talented author!
