The Killing Dance
by Laurell K. Hamilton
Description:
Dating both a vampire and a werewolf isn't easy. But just to complicate Anita's already messy life, someone has put a price on her head. Love cannot save her this time, so she turns to Edward, hitman extraordinaire, for help. But finding the person behind the threat won't be easy, because as both a vampire hunter and zombie reanimator, Anita has made a lot of enemies-both human and otherwise
My Thoughts:
So i thought this installment was a good book in the Anita Blake series. It was action packed, with a hint of a love triangle. It just didn’t hit me as hard in some ways. The Killing Dance was going to get a three star rating but the ending pushed it up to a 4 star rating.
Things i liked:
- Anitas character development. I think she definitely grew as a character.
-The premise of a hit being put out on Anita was interesting
-The ending. It was action packed as always.
What i didn’t like:
-This book felt almost like a filler book especially now that i’m reading the next one. It was all a set up for the next books big events. I wish it just had a bit more substance besides the love triangle even though i enjoyed the love triangle.
- one of the characters got on my nerves a lot. I understand why but damn. lol
-The hit plot almost took a secondary focus until the very end.
But yeah over all enjoyed like i said and i’m already enjoying the next one much more. Have you read this book and did you like it?
Stars: ★★★★
