Astor Place Vintage

I enjoyed the format of alternating chapters that portrayed life in 2007 and 1907, drawing parallels between the characters set in each respective century. The characters were engaging, and their struggles were easy to relate to, even as they pushed moralistic boundaries. The perspectives of a single woman with career aspirations in both centuries were interesting to compare and contrast, and the Manhattan backdrop served almost as a distinct separate character altogether!
