Informative, hopeful, and heartfelt. More personal than his other books, and looking towards a future where things will hopefully be better. The combination of fascinating scientific discoveries and sincere autobiographical moments had me reading this faster than pretty much any other non-fiction I've had the chance to pick up. Mukherjee also goes out of his way to point out the contributions of women in science, even when they had been previously erased. Lovely read for anyone interested in biology.
