Each Kindness by Jacqueline Woodson
4.0

This is a serious picture book, and reminds me of the kinds of books with beautiful, realistic, painterly illustrations that I read as a little girl sometimes. I appreciate that this book is what it is, and doesn't try to tie everything up in a neat happy bow. A good story about the unkindness of children to a new girl at school who is poor, and the repercussions it has. Each act of kindness creates ripples and can change the world. Great discussion starter, good for discussions of kindness or poverty.
