I was very confussed on how to rate this book.
Don’t get me wrong I loved it and I thought it refreshing and VERY realistic. My biggest issue was that I never believed that Connie and Douglas were right for each other, I found the main characters so very faulty and I found their relationship problematic even from the start.
But I understand that love is blind although when you take major diecisions like having a child logic should play a role in it and Mr. P was a freaking scientist and as we have been told very very smart.
Sometimes I flew through the pages, sometimes I had to put it down (and storm out the room ). An emotional rollercoaster.
I love happy endings, this book may seem that it does not have any, although my humble opinion is that it has the best posible outcome for our characters.
People don’t change, and people can forgive but can’t usually forget and start fresh after 25 years. And if Douglas could only mend one relationship I am glad it was the one with his son.
