This was not my favourite Jane Austen novel. It still had the same charm that all her novels have but I found the story and characters to be on the pathetic side. I'm glad that I finally read it but I wouldn't recommend to those starting to read Austen for the first time.
Anne is rather used by those around her since she is a borderline spinster and Captain Wentworth I feel, isn't represented enough so we never know quite what his thought or perspectives are on the matter. So in my opinion, not Jane Austen's best but still a good piece of classic literature. 3/5 stars
