Make It Stick: The Science of Successful Learning
by Henry L. Roediger, Mark A. McDaniel, Peter C. Brown
So, it has taken many long, painstaking hours to read this book. Talk about mind-numbing! It has a really unfortunate, dry style that may actually conceal some really good lessons. Why did I persist? Because one of my psychology lecturers rants and raves that this book can give me the necessary trade secrets to BLITZ my exams. Seriously, he would not shut up about it.
Apparently, success is not at all contingent on innate talent. According to this book, ANYONE can succeed with the right mindset. Oh, and by using the amazing techniques in the book, of course. I'll give them all a go in my exam studies. Who knows? I may end up giving this book five stars. Here's hoping.
