duanur 's review for:
The Iron Knight
by Julie Kagawa
This is killing me! In a good way.
If you don't know, Julie Kagawa is one of my favourite authors. I love her writing, characters, SIDE characters, world building, storyline. The only thing I'm not in love with is her romances. Don't get me wrong, I really like them! But romance is not her strong side.
I always liked Ash since he first appeared in the first book. But I was so frustrated because he just wouldn't TALK. I wanted to know what he thought, how he felt towards Meghan and I'm so happy to say that The Iron Knight met all of my expectations. Even my stupid "what ifs" were answered in this book AND I CANNOT WAIT TO READ MORE JULIE KAGAWA BOOKS. She just outdones her every story. Her characters are so unique and always so different from each other. I don't know how she does it. Seriously how does she do it?!?!
I was heartbroken, teary-eyed, hopeful and SO HAPPY throughout this book. You have to read this series if you haven't already.
The Ash-Ari-Meghan love triangle was so heart wrenching. I wanted to scream at Ash but I also understood what he was going through and I'm so happy how it all turned out!!! Well, not so happy what happened to Ari but she is at peace right?? ...Right?
After reading that horrible chapter about Ash's future, I found myself not wanting Ash to be human. IT WAS SO SAD. But of course he wouldn't be ALL HUMAN. I don't know how I got tricked into thinking he would be all human.
One of my favourite scenes would be when Puck talked to the giant in The Forgotten's villiage. It was HILAROUS and PUCK, PLEASE CALL ME.
The appearance of The Big Bad Wolf was unexpected BUT AWESOME. Like I said, Julie Kagawa's characters are so amazing!
And lastly, DID YOU SEE HOW ASH LOOKED AT THOSE GUNS!?!?! Well not see oh you know what I mean!
ASH WITH A GUN. COME ON. I WANT TO SEE THAT. I never thought that he would use a gun but he definitely will!
I want to read "The Call of Forgotten" so bad.
