Lumberjanes is such a fantastic series. Volume 4 did not disappoint. Our fearless girls are off on a camping trip that quickly turns weird (of course) when it starts snowing in the middle of summer. The girls are rescued by Rosie, but Jen gets left behind. Never fear, she is also rescued by new character Abigail. Rosie forbids the Lumberjanes from going after Jen, but they don't listen. Rosie of course knows more about what is going on than anyone. Turns out Abigail used to be a Lumberjane and is now bent on revenge against the things in the woods. We get a bunch of backstory on the Lumberjanes and the Bear Woman. We also might have learned something really interesting about Jo, that makes this book even more fantastically diverse and inclusive. Friendship to the Max! I can't wait to see what happens next.
