"Firm but still broken. And always beautiful.
Just like the perfect ballerina."
A gripping and intense read that, like the dance, dips and flies at certain parts.
The 2nd quarter of the book made me 🤨🤨 because of the approach but it ultimately made sense. I do think there is more to be explored but seeing as it is the first of a series then that is a good omen.
The body horror aspect isn't as severe as I expected (and would have liked) though.
Daghan sa ka serious actually falls away once I'm reminded na Laure just turned 18 and maka break sa immersion so I just don't think abt their ages.
Pretty good read and I'm excited for the next book.
