It certainly is a book about normal people, yet even with that title the characters and plot manage to stray away from a total normal relationship reality. However, Rooney write very candidly about this relationship, which, while not wholly normal, is very humbling as different aspects of relationships and external influences affecting relationships are treated. Since it’s so short, it is worth reading, but I didn’t get any of the highly acclaimed reactions or feel that there was much steak to it.
