The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory

4.0

I gave this 4 stars because there are no half star options. It's really a 3.5. It's starts off as a delight, a quirky meet-cute with lively banter and enough steam to pique my interest but as I was expecting a modern, interracial romance between adults, I got a lot of adolescent angst and juvenile avoidance. Are we still relying on fear of honesty as a plot device?

I'm dying for a story with all the sexy fun and a real conflict to overcome. You know, like life.
