We Are Robin, Volume 1: The Vigilante Business by Lee Bermejo, Jorge Corona, Khary Randolph

5.0

So I have been out of the comic loop for some time now and reading this left some background questions unanswered. The stories make sense on their own, but they are living in the aftermath of some Joker toxin release. It really tells you enough to get and understand the story, but leaves enough that you want to delve further into the backstory to see what happened before this.

I really like the characters, a group of teens just trying to make their home a little safer. The kids are from different walks of life and different ethnicities. Outside of the Robin group, they have little in common, but they are really learning to come together as a team, to celebrate their strengths and support each other. Outside of the costumes, I don't even think they know each other.

For the first time in a long time, I read a comic book and really wanted to read more of the series and the stories that surround it.
