Trigger warnings: abandonment, divorce

I really enjoyed the first book in this series so I jumped at the chance to continue it. I liked both Annie and Brendon in their brief introductions during the previous book so I was actually really excited to see how a romance between them would develop. I loved both characters, though I do have to say Brendon is higher on my list than Annie haha. I really liked how earnest he was, how kind and just genuine as a person. You can really feel how much he cares about others, and about people finding love from the page. It gets him into trouble sometimes and honestly, if I was his friend and single, I'd probably be annoyed too. But it comes from such a good place that it's easy to see past it. Annie was definitely the more frustrating out of the two. I understood her perspective, it's hard to let go of a life you've been living for so long. However, it was really annoying how much she fought against creating happiness for herself even if it included a lot of change. I can't say much though cause I hate change with a passion haha. I really enjoyed how their romance developed, how it was slow and sweet and just cute. I would've liked a bit more astrology in here, only because that's part of what attracted me to the series, but overall, such a good continuation!
