Not really sure how to put into words how I felt about this book.
I thought it was good and the concept was really interesting.
But it also didn’t really appeal to me because of how it just felt so sad for all the characters involved and I wasn’t really routing for anyone in particular.
Having said that about it feeling sad, at no point did the writing actually make me feel emotional. It’s almost as if more time and narrative was needed to focus on the relationships between the MC and her two loves, to properly embed those warm feelings the reader feels towards them before the impossible situation can fully have a heart wrenching impact. Because of the two relationships I had to split my focus between, the two narratives I had to become attached to, it was almost like I didn’t invest in either of them enough for the story to hurt me on any deep level.
Satisfactory ending? Yes.
