Cole & Palmer

Cole is a 30 year old retired MLB catcher with a secret he is afraid to tell anyone about. While visiting his parents in the small town where they retire, he meets Palmer, single mom to 12 year old Ethan. Ethan isn't a fan of leaving his video games for the great outdoors, but changes his mind after his deadbeat dad signs him up for youth baseball, where it turns out Cole is taking a theoretically temporary stint as coach.

Palmer is used to people disappointing her. She's used to being the one to solve all the problems and just wishes there was someone in her life who could hold her up when she needs it instead of people who are always letting her down and asking for more from her. She and Cole have insta-sparks, but she's reluctant to pursue anything since he's only supposed to be in town for a short while.

Once Cole decides to put all his cards on the table for Palmer, so she can make the decision whether to move toward a future together, the ex throws a monkey wrench in the works. Cole makes a choice to hide his truths, without giving Palmer a vote.

He obviously will eventually get his head out of his @$$ so they can have their HEA - the road ahead might not be 100% smooth all the time, but it's definitely easier when you have someone you love along for the ride.
