Feed Them Silence by Lee Mandelo

2.0

I feel like I was misguided(?) on what the book was about. They sold “crazy scientist & wolves” to me and I got “sad failing marriage” instead — which was interesting but not what I was looking for tbh.

The premise is super cool, and the wolf pov descriptions are pretty amazing, but it felt like we only grazed the surface of most of the issues in the book, and considering the slow(er) pace of the story, I did miss some of the depth. It felt sort of incomplete to me (I was left with too many questions but no Rea feeling about most of them).

I saw a lot out people raving about the writing but I didn’t feel particularly connected… I tend to like characters that are taking a deeper dive at the fall-into-madness arc, though. Not sure how I feel about this, but on an exploration level it’s interesting enough.
