This is a classic. I can't stress enough for you to read this, if you are a science fiction fan, all the stories around foundation is fabulous and a must read. This first book in the trilogy traces the foundation of the second foundation a bastion of science and technology among the galaxy falling apart. Anything beyond this would be a spoiler. So just go an read for yourself.
