Oh my God! This book was so cute! I went into it completely blind and was hooked on the first sentence. It made me laugh, cry, and swoon many MANY times. (I was giggling so much my own boyfriend started to side eye me at times.)
I fell in love with the entire cast of characters in NO time, but Alfie and Alice definitely stayed with my heart. The dual POV was absolutely the best way to tell this story, and it kept me so captivated. Plus their respective thoughts was so funny.
If you've previously enjoyed books like The Fault in Our Stars and Five Feet Apart, Before I Saw You might be for you. Fair warning this story does touch on certain heavier topics such as: mentions and descriptions of car accidents, injuries, surgery, burn, parental abandonment/ neglect, and death.
Despite this book being a much slower burning slow burn that I'm used to, this story and its characters hooked me and stole my heart. It has gotten to the point where I am trying to get all my closest reader friends to read it so we can talk about and discuss it. But truly the biggest gift you will get from this book is Mr. Alfie Mack. What a man!
(I am kidding there is so much more depth to this story than just the romance. It is truly amazing.)
