Through the Ashes by Julia Wolf

5.0

Julia has done it again! I am blown away at the versatility and diversity Julia brings to her books. I could have never imagined the bridge from contemporary rockstar to dark high school romance would be so seamlessly flawless but Julia can do it all, I shouldn’t have waited so long to jump in!

Halfway through book 1 I knew I’d be reading book 2 immediately! I wasn’t prepared to fall in love with Asher but he made it pretty easy. There were more heart twinges and belly flutters in this one. Asher was the perfect amount of intense and soft when it came to Bex.

Asher is an athlete with a dark edge and Bex is the quiet goth girl photographer who seems to keep catching moments she shouldn’t. Whether she thinks it’s a blessing or a curse her impeccably bad timing brought her to her HEA with the unsuspecting vengeful football player.

This one was heavier on the plot and there were a few twisties I wasn’t expecting but thoroughly enjoyed! The little glimpses of Bash and Grace made me so happy, I love getting to see past couples thriving.
