This book is so amazing. It touches on so many important topics (racism, female struggle and tragedy, chronic health issues, etc) and tells a realistic story that shows how life is unforgiving and oftentimes unfair. The events and characters in this story show how every person's reality is built around their perceptions, whether they are true or not, and these perceptions may never align with true reality.
