"Don't begrudge me this life."

a gorgeous second chance romance that jumps between present and past. rainbow rowell is excellent at writing relationships that feel real and romantic, and maybe that’s also why i find myself not always liking both characters. shiloh is frustrating, but her worries are understandable and the miscommunication that she and cary undergo for 14 years feels realistic even if annoying. i could have spent more time learning about them, but i’m happy with what we got. the friendship between shiloh, cary, and mikey is lovely too.
