This book caught me by surprise and had me completely engrossed from page one. I felt like I had just met someone, and we went to lunch and it turned into just this afternoon of listening to her life story and me being amazed at all of it. I never felt like I was reading a story, it felt more like an intimate conversation. The characters were realistic and relatable, even though I could never imagine their situations. It was such a quick read, mainly because I turned it on at every free moment because I was anxious to hear more. Kudos for a well written, stereotype-busting story that will remind women everywhere that we are allowed agency over our lives! 4.25-stars
