A Handful Of Dust by Evelyn Waugh

it's neat! i've ! been meaning to get here for years. It's actually possibly the most thirties novel I've ever read, aggressively so. that's no bad thing but certainly It'S THAT ERA. Somerset maughan was floating thru the brain too. waugh's not my flavour but this was ~good & he has his entertainments. YES the structure absolutely flops off a waterfall, no idea, pure chaos. But I don't think that's a problem ,, the point isn't to care

I really like the todd / narrative towards the end. ring of kafka ofc ! but let's not slap a box on here. it makes perfect sense that came about individually, as a short story
