Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee: An Indian History of the American West by Dee Brown

adventurous challenging dark emotional informative mysterious reflective sad tense slow-paced

3.0

I have been wanting to read this novel since high school. So I have waited almost 15 years to get through this piece of history. Treaties, broken promises, war, lives lost, and lies, but yet something felt like it was missing from the text.

This is an important piece of history and one of my favorite topics to discuss and explore: Indigenous history is American history.
