I enjoyed the psychological thriller aspect of this book—it kept me on my toes and despite how dark it gets, I still enjoyed the read. My main complaint is how drawn out the ending was: like, we get it, Asa is insane and extremely intelligent, so much so that he can get through all these hoops to once again find where Sloan is and try to get her back. The last 50 pages were way too drawn out and the story could have ended with Ada’s arrest at the first apartment.
