Life After Life
by Kate Atkinson
I have no idea what to think about the ending, but I enjoyed the journey. I do recommend reading this one quickly - I read it in 4 sittings and still found myself getting timelines confused. I will say, I have not been interested in reading WWII novels for a while now, but thought this one was unique and took a very honest approach (as opposed to some of the insane glamorized versions that have popped up in recent years). I had nightmares after reading the sections about the blitz. A fascinating look at the twists and turns of life, and the terrifying reality that death awaits us all and can come in any number of ways.
Recommend to fans of Groundhog Day, Dark Matter, philosophy, and fiction set in WWII.
