Maid Marian by Elsa Watson

2.0

A quick and easy read with an enjoyable plot.

Would have preferred a little more detail because it did seem a little rushed. I also thought Marion was a little wishy washy. She was decisive one moment and then flighty the next. That bothered me a bit. However, she ended up acknowledging this in the end, which was suitable.

Also, it was definitely interesting to see Eleanor of Aquitaine portrayed as a bit of a villianess than the usual. A nice little twist to it, which was nice.

Edit Jan. 13, 2017:
Initially rated this three stars but on reflection I decided to do two stars instead. Marion's flippy floppy attitude and refusal to act like an adult really gets me. She claims to be strong and rely on herself but she runs away when faced with a perceived danger. Which turns out to be utterly false. The concept has much potential but the author ruins it with poor character development that utterly ruins the entire plot.

Two for a fun and interesting concept but poor writing and a crappy and irritating character.

On a sidenote, I should really start waiting a day or two before I write a review. *sigh*
