I started listening to this 10 months ago and just couldn't get all of the way through it. Somewhere around the 40-50% mark, my interest would drop off.
Forcing myself to make it through it all this month, I thought through what my issues were.
The narrator (Chad Maxwell) wasn't the right one to be reading this book. His voice was too much of a distraction to me.
I did really like the two characters - R'kos and Darien. I enjoyed all of the pieces and parts that involved the two getting to know each other. There were awkward, funny, sexy, and endearing moments between the two.
And then - well - everything else - the storyline of being chased across the galaxy - took away from my R'kos and Darien getting to know and enjoy you time. Had the book focused completely on the two of them, this would have come up on the high 4 side.
I might try to read the kindle version at a later time since son many people seemed to enjoy the book version. Maybe with the narrator out of the way, I'll like this book more.
