Christmas on Firefly Hill by Garrett Leigh

5.0

If you’re only planning on picking up a single Christmas story this year - it should be this one! Christmas on Firefly Hill was sweet, snarky and swoony with just a pinch of angst added.

I completely adored Logan and Remy! I loved their instant connection and attraction to each other, and the mutual pining over their missed opportunity was a great foundation for their story. They had me intrigued from the start, and I was completely hooked after their first sizzling kiss.

Logan’s life as a single dad and firefighter felt realistic and was well written, I could feel his strain and efforts through the pages - he worked so hard to create the best situation he could for his kids. While Logan’s life was highly domestic, Remy was a free spirit, and I loved seeing them fall for each other despite their differences.

In true Garrett Leigh spirit, the characters have to suffer a bit before they get their happily ever after, but even so, the story didn’t have a lot of angst. For being a rather short book, the characters and story had a lot of depth and development which was beautiful to read!

An incredible and wonderful holiday romance, warm and sweet with some hurt / comfort to it. A very realistic story that still managed to feel magical.
