mesmerizing i was in a trace like state reading this unable to stop, beautiful words beautifully placed, coming together to form this amazing retelling. although i knew the story and this ending before i even started it gave me a new adorning perspective of these characters. absolutely in love with this.

REREADING! :p

let me start off by saying i adore the is book and feel i could write an 8 page essay on the character and how it made me feel but while rereading this book i found i didn’t find as many new things along the way as i thought i would but i mainly found myself focusing sm more on the characters and their development, the effect they had on each other was so gut wrenching even a second time, and will always hold true to the narrative that love is not enough to overcome guilt, selfishness, or your own conscious. I think one of the things i love most about her writing is how straightforward Madeline Miller is with her character there is almost never any self doubt in them and i think it’s a great contrast to other books where the internal monologue is them weighing right and wrong and you don’t see that here which i like a lot. still one of the most beautifully written books i’ve ever read even almost a year later and i think this book will always be apart of me and no matter how much time a passes it will stay in the back of my mind always and for that i am slightly bias in still giving it five stars .
