Rhymes and Legends (Selection)/Rimas y Leyendas (selección): A Dual-Language Book by Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, Stanley Appelbaum

4.0

This was a collection of short stories with an old-school fantasy/horror twist to them. The kind where there are spirits and skeletons, where prayer helps battle evil, where bad things happen for a reason - to deliver the moral of the story.

They felt naive but also atmospheric and endearing. I didn't expect to enjoy reading these as much as I did.
