The Boy and the Beast, Vol. 1 by Mamoru Hosoda

At first it is a typical "boy gets abandoned then discovered a new world and became the best" kinda story and this made me want to look forward to reading the next volume. I know there is a animated version and I will watch it after reading the manga version.
