Overall, it was an okay read.

I encountered quite a bit of what I considered to be inconsistencies and such whilst I was reading, but they turned out to be intentional—the authors managing to make them make sense at the very end.

I liked Remi as an FMC, and as such I was disappointed with the MMCs repeated lack of acknowledgment of her survival skills. Not that her self-preservation was completely realistic—her relationship with Jim Bob the bear would be extremely dangerous in the real world—but when it came to the moose situation, she was 1000% the smart one.
