This book was like building a puzzle without seeing the picture on the box. In the beginning it’s a bit confusing and you don’t really know what’s happening. But soon you start putting it together and it becomes addicting.
You spend the first half of the book putting together what happened to the characters from ten years ago to yesterday. That’s a lot of ground to cover but the way it’s done doesn’t feel tedious. The jumping around throughout that time keeps the readers on their toes, always revealing just enough to keep you guessing. The second half of the book is spent throughout the day as the main conflict unfolds. There was so much dramatic irony and at the same time a fair number of twists that literally made me gasp.
This book was more than just X-Men super powers. It makes the reader really question which character is morally correct, if there even was a morally correct character.
Absolutely fantastic read! Picked this book up randomly at the library and boy am I glad I did!
