Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451: The Authorized Adaptation by Tim Hamilton
4.0
I enjoyed this more than my reading of the actual book when I was a teenager. I remember thinking the dialogue felt forced and unrealistic especially the girl Montag meets in the beginning, thinking that no one actually talks that way. I was also comparing it to 1984 which was then (and to some extent still is) my favorite book which is an unfair comparison. Fahrenheit 451 is a good book, though I do think you have to suspend some disbelief to read the novel. The graphic novel does a good job of keeping the larger themes of the novel while eliminating some of the unnecessary details. A reread of the original might bear better fruit but for now the graphic format was the more enjoyable experience.
