This was a really interesting memoir! I loved learning about Norway and cold weather camping/surviving. It was crazy to see how many times Braverman traveled back and forth from America to Norway and you could really feel her adoration for dogsledding/Norway itself. It was also tragic to hear how many times she was assaulted, but it was interesting to see how she dealt with her relationship with her body through the cold and Norway as a whole. Arild was a wonderful man, apparently the only cool guy in Norway, but I definitely was worried he would turn out bad too, initially. The second half of the book, with Helge Jensen and other components, confused me and left me ready for it to be over. However, overall, I found it to be a really interesting read. Considering I don't have much to say about the book, though, I'm only rating it 3 stars. Still, I recommend it! I read it slower than I usually would because it was for a book club.
