Firestarter by Stephen King

I ended up not liking this as much as thought I would. I was very familiar with the story having seen the movie many times so was excited to finally read the book.  For me, I struggled with the pacing of the story. I loved the first part where Andy and Charlie are on the run and trying to find a safe place. I liked Andy and Charlie and their relationship.  Once it shifted to the middle section it slowed down so much and got bogged with information.  The ending picked up and was satisfactory. Also we have some standard King stuff with use of r-word, n-word, and particularly harsh language towards overweight people. (Yes I know this book was written a while back now, but I can still comment on the content.)  So ultimately this was ok.
