Seven Days in June by Tia Williams

5/5 magnificent stars
I'd say check the trigger warnings before reading this book - I wasn't aware personally that there would be any.
But otherwise, it's a beautiful story about being lost and found. A love that defies time, and a special person who makes you feel like at home. I truly ate this story up and finished it in one afternoon once I got into it.
While I'm a white immigrant and can never personally experience what it's like to be black in this country, I think this novel highlights it in such a significant way. Both Eva and Shane came from less than fortunate upbringings and make it big on their own. This novel was just a heartfelt story and a beautiful reminder to be human and be authentic to who you are. Must read!
