All great things for Scarborough. Catherine Hernandez has created an incredible masterpiece and authentic depiction of the kinds of people in this East area of Toronto. I honestly thought these were real people, because these stories were so raw and so real that made this book so beautiful. Scarborough made me value how people’s lives are connected, strangers or neighbours, and how much a community can impact them.
Bing’s performance at the end, and reading through his thoughts as well as his nanay’s absolutely broke me. Such a young character Catherine created yet fills my heart with so much admiration and pride. #🇵🇭🏳️🌈 Every Torontonian should read this!!!
