I’ll say this first. Cosy Romance’s of any kind aren’t my thing when it comes to reading.

I’d rather read a book that contains so much angst and heartache that it might as well tear out my heart, set it on fire then make it into a record so I could hear that agony for myself.  🤣🤣

That being said, I wanted a simple read. One that might get me out of the slump I’ve been in for so long.

This book definitely did that. From start to finish I couldn’t put it down. Well apart from the moments that were just a little too cosy for my liking.

Sage is a Librarian who loves her job caring for the books under her care at the Royal Library. Everything was going well until one little mishap starts a snowball reaction and sweeps her along with it. Now she’s staying with the very people she swore to stay away from. The Charming Four.

Trying to find a way to cure a curse that she had no idea existed until she discovered what causes it from a friend. During her study in looking for a cure she attracts the attention of the Crown Prince. Knowing what she’s able to do he asks her to create something that isn’t only questionable but dangerous.

Thankfully her new friends promise to protect her from the Crown Prince and set out to find what exactly he’s up to. Joining the Charming Four on one of their missions she discovers information that might help her in finding the cure she’s desperately trying to create.

Everything looks to be moving in the right direction until the Crown Prince’s plan is finally revealed and Sage not only get’s caught in the crossfire but gains an unusual companion. Confessions are released and secrets revealed.

As for the world building and plot this book did a fantastic job of combining the two, each working in perfect harmony.

The descriptions were beautiful and I saw myself watching this book play like a movie. I would’ve given this book 5 stars but unfortunately I found a few mishaps in both the book and audiobook.

Other than those tiny mishaps. This book was an amazing and enjoyable read. If you’re looking for an easy read with magic, curses, dragons, bees, and potions. This book is definitely worth picking up.
