The High Mountain Court by A. K. Mulford
4.0

3.5-4/5

I essentially finished this book in 1 sitting. Now, it's not that this book is GOOD so much as it is better than its competition. Granted, when the competition is ACOTAR, that is not necessarily a difficult feat. As I constantly mentioned while annotating, this book would be ACOTAR if ACOTAR didn't make me want to kill myself. However, the prominent (and, in my opinion, only) reason for reading ACOTAR was less present in THMC, though not invisible. It's a quality > quantity scenario. I enjoyed it but giving it a 4/5 might be a little too generous. A 3.5/5 is probably more accurate.
