This series was incredibly well written, I absolutely loved listening to all the audiobooks. The characters are so realistic & relatable & human, the descriptions of things/environments were so detailed i felt like i was watching a movie rather than just listening to an audiobook, and everything wrapped up so nicely in the end 🥹 I LOVED THIS SERIES & I’M OBSESSED WITH THIS BOOK.
That being said, I don’t think I will read another Holly Black book until I can consume the story without getting so incredibly angry with the characters’ decisions. The Cruel Prince series feels like nonstop cruelty/shock value/distress, but that clearly made way for a super sweet ending :) Still - Holly, I hope you can fight.Making me believe Jude killed her beloved high king, the lovely Carden, right after they FINALLY embraced each other is ridiculously diabolical.
