The cliffhanger! 2025 is going to be a long time coming!
This was a very angsty and heart wrenching romanasy. Allette and Senan are truly star crossed lovers throughout the book. There is no doubting their love for one another or that they are soul mates. The tension and spice during their repeated attempts to be together was excellent you could really feel their chemistry. The spicy scenes were well done, but didn’t dominate the story. Both Allette and Senan are very likeable characters but don’t always make the best decisions. It helps that we are able to read from both POVs and see a lot of depth to them.
I loved reading Senan’s relationship with his brothers, particularly his youngest brother Kyff. I definitely got teary reading some of their scenes. I liked how the author explored the class differences between the Scathian and the Tuath through Allette’s friendships.
Even though the miscommunication trope is used, it mostly made sense for the story and worked for me. I could understand a lot of what the characters chose to do given their circumstances. I went with 4.25 stars simply because some parts felt repetitive and probably could have been trimmed down, and one plot device in particular didn’t work for me.
I really enjoyed Bound By Gravity and I definitely recommend you read it! I’ll be eagerly awaiting the conclusion in book 2!
*check trigger warnings if that applies to you, as the characters in Bound By Gravity go through a lot of difficult things*
Thank you to The Nerd Fam and Jenny Hickman for the ARC! All opinions are my own.
